Day 8: Finally landed in Las Vegas. Staying at a KOA in Sams Town. After 6 nights in cold, snowy Jackpot we were ready for some warmer weather. First day that a long sleeve tee shirt is too hot. 57 degrees and the sun has already set. Only going to get down to 43 tonight (Boise’s high today was 45). Sweet.
The drive both today and yesterday was good. Couldn’t ask for better weather for driving. No wind and sunshine. Traffic in Vegas is horrendous. But of course who wants to follow an RV from Idaho during rush hour.
Bristol, the cat is becoming a well seasoned traveler. She doesn’t even have to go into the kennel any longer. She just rides in the backseat with Cruiser and Dinky (of course her leash is attached to the seatbelt so she can’t get out, but she doesn’t even try). We are really happy with our decision to bring her, so far.

Day 1
Day 1:
So yesterday was exhausting. Up at 6 am. Trying to get everything loaded into the trailer and I swear it just kept multiplying. The neighbors came to say goodbye and we loaded them up with with “free stuff”. Finally got on the road about 7:30 pm, with 2 dogs and a cat (that had only been in the car once to get her shots). Trip down was ok. Bristol, the cat did pretty good until about the last 30 miles. Then she was pissed from being in the kennel and boy did she let us know it.
Great friends Marsha and Keith stayed up way past anyone’s bed time and helped us set up camp in Jackpot. You guys are awesome. All the “kids” got settled in and we finally got to bed at 2 am this morning…
